Despite living in Toronto for many years, I only visited the CN Tower during a return trip in 1991. After finally experiencing it, I cannot recommend it enough. Standing at 1,815 feet, the tower defines the city’s skyline and offers incredible views from its observation decks. It also features a revolving restaurant, a glass floor, and the EdgeWalk experience. For those seeking adventure, the EdgeWalk allows you to walk hands-free along the tower’s edge, 116 stories above the ground. Whether you are a local or just visiting, the CN Tower is a destination you shouldn't miss. I hope you get the chance to experience it for yourself!
Niagara Falls is one of my favorite places to visit! A day trip from Toronto is so easy, whether it’s by organized tour, public transport, or driving. The iconic boat tour and stunning natural beauty always leave me in awe. From breathtaking views at Niagara Parks to magical lights and thrilling attractions, it’s truly an unforgettable destination!
I wanted to share one of my favorite events with you: "The Ex," Canada's largest annual fair held at Exhibition Place in Toronto. The 2026 edition will run for 18 days, from August 21 to September 7. The fair offers an incredible lineup of activities, including midway rides, unique food, live concerts, a casino, and the Canadian International Air Show. This event is a meaningful childhood memory for me, and I make it a point to attend whenever I am in Toronto during the two weeks leading up to Labor Day.
I wanted to share how much Centre Island means to me. Growing up, it was my favorite spot for day trips, whether I was hanging out with friends or enjoying a family picnic. Even now, the ferry ride from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal fills me with the same excitement and joy I felt as a child. Once on the island, I always look forward to exploring Centreville Amusement Park and taking in the breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline. Centre Island is a place filled with wonderful memories for me, and I am truly looking forward to visiting again after the wedding ceremony to relive those cherished experiences.
If you have time to explore, we highly recommend visiting the Distillery District — one of Toronto’s most charming and historic neighborhoods. Just minutes from downtown, this pedestrian-only village is filled with cobblestone streets, beautiful red-brick buildings, local boutiques, art galleries, and wonderful spots to eat and sip something warm or refreshing. It’s the perfect place to wander, take photos, pick up unique finds, and enjoy the city’s creative spirit. Whether you stop by for a relaxing afternoon or an evening stroll under the lights, it’s a little slice of Toronto we think you’ll truly love.
