FAQs

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica, about 1–1.5 hours from Tamarindo.

Question

What days should we plan to travel?

Answer

We recommend arriving in the evening on November 9th or early on November 10th so you have time to settle in and join us for the welcome event at 5:00 PM before the wedding festivities begin. For departure, we suggest leaving Saturday afternoon or staying through Sunday. Tamarindo has an amazing nightlife, so extending your trip lets you enjoy one last night out, followed by a relaxed beach day to unwind before heading home.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! A valid passport is required for travel to Costa Rica. Please make sure it’s valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We’ll be getting married at The Point Luxury Villa. Address: The Point Luxury Villa – Lot 26 Tamarindo, Guanacaste Province 50809 We recommend staying within 10–15 minutes of the venue. Tamarindo is easy to get around, and many guests use golf carts, taxis, or Uber. We’ve listed two hotel recommendations on our Travel page, but there are plenty of hotels and Airbnbs nearby to fit different budgets. Most of the bridal party will be staying at the villa. The rest of the week, Will and I will be staying at Tamarindo Diria.

Question

Will there be group events or activities after the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we’ll have a few optional group plans throughout the week. Thursday – Pool/beach day, plus the farmers market (6–9 PM) and possibly a show at Crazy Monkey. Friday – Adventure day (details to come), followed by a night out to enjoy Tamarindo’s nightlife. Saturday – Relaxed beach day. Everything is optional, join for whatever you’re up for!
