We met online, fall of 2021. He was working tech week for Sister Act, I was golfing with friends in Dominican Republic. Our first date was the day I got back, a coffee date at Toot Suite. Three hours and several cups of java later, we were both feeling excited about the spark we felt for each other... That, or our bodies were humming from all the caffeine...

It was one of those rare, beautiful fall days where the temperature in Houston was perfect for wandering the Texas Renaissance Festival with friends. The solar eclipse cast beautiful crescent shaped shadows everywhere and not a mosquito was seen in all the land. Into the fairy garden we strolled, one of us, with something precious in his pocket and a question poised on his heart. "Will you?" he asked with the biggest grin I've ever seen on his face. "Of course I will" I replied, wiping a tear from the corner of my eye, as our friends hooted and hollered in that majestic corner of the wood.
