Any history buff would love the castle! You can pay to go in & tour the place or you can walk up the Royal Mile to the castle & get a spectacular view of Edinburgh (if it's a nice, clear day:)
Where the Royals stay when they're in Scotland! If the flags are flying there's a member of the Royal family there. You can tour the palace if there is no Royal staying.
The hill that looks like a bear laying down! Sounds weird but you can climb Arthur's Seat & get fantastic views of the city! Again, be sure it's a clear day or else your time & effort in climbing will be wasted!
A little local whisky (wee fun fact: this is how it's spelled if it's distilled in Scotland)tasting who doesn't love that! Just 30 minutes from the center of Edinburgh, you can tour & sample whiskies from all over! You won't be disappointed!
The main street in Edinburgh & home to one of Britains biggest Hogmany (New Year's Eve) street party. Full of shops, Marks & Spencer's, & right across the street from Scotts Monument & the Gardens! The German Market will also be in the Gardens for the holiday season! Don't miss out on little trinkets, sweets & treats!
