a sunday kind of love

We first met on July 10th, 2011 at Saint Joseph's University. Put into the same freshmen orientation group, we were immediately thrown into awkward ice breaker activities and told to hold hands while walking through campus. That night, we stayed up for hours lying in the grass outside of LaFarge Hall and talking about how fun college would be. We agreed that day to become best friends and make many more memories together.

It was obvious that our connection was stronger than 'just friends' or a college crush. When we shared our first kiss while riding the train to a party, our friends started clapping. Over the years, we reunited many times, but our timing was never quite right. We finally found our way back to each other for good in 2019. After six months of dating, we moved in together. We endured the pandemic while working from home across the hall from each other. We adopted a second cat together. It was clear that this love was a forever thing.

After four years together, we both felt ready to take our next big step as a couple. Richie got down on one knee on December 30th, 2023 at Wissahickon Valley Park with a few of Jenny's favorite people waiting nearby to celebrate. Since then, we've been planning our dream wedding and our future together. We are so grateful to have found each other, and for the love and support we've received from our families and friends. We can't wait to spend our big day with you all!
