We met in 2024 thanks to a mutual friend who clearly saw something we didn’t because wow, were they right. Philip made the first move (bold!) and called to set up casual drinks. After a few texts, some solid banter, and a “sure, why not?” attitude, we found ourselves on a second date: hiking up Iller Creek in Spokane Valley. Little did we know that hike would become a milestone in our story (and a cardio test we were not fully prepared for). We survived, laughed, and shared snack which, in hindsight, became the blueprint for our relationship. Fast forward to July 2025: Philip brought us back to Iller Creek. Same trail, same views, but this time with a ring in his pocket. Despite the major life decision (and the climb), he was calm and steady. One great view, a few happy tears (mostly on one side), and one perfectly timed “yes” later, we were engaged. When we’re not wedding planning or hiking hills with hidden intentions, we’re busy living our best outdoorsy-casual-farmhouse life. Winters are for skiing, falls are for hunting, and summers are for huckleberry picking with our wiener dog, Franklin. We also share our home with four very opinionated chickens who run the yard and occasionally our lives. We’re officially tying the knot on July 18, 2026, at The Greenhouse on Harvard in Washington. Expect laughter, dancing, hopefully no chicken feathers, and a whole lot of love. We can’t wait to celebrate with you, our favorite people, as we start this next adventure (with Franklin’s approval, of course).
