It all began with a swipe on Coffee Meets Bagel, where two adventurous souls found each other after both having experienced many awkward and terrible first dates. Little did we know that this simple match would lead to a beautiful journey together. Our first date took place in Boulder, Colorado—a city that felt just as vibrant as our budding connection. We met for a late morning cup of coffee, and as the sun streamed through the café windows, we instantly felt at ease. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, and soon Jenny, with her trademark enthusiasm, suggested we grab lunch. This sparked a delightful exchange of food recommendations, and we realized we both shared a passion for culinary adventures. Things took a turn toward the serious side when Jenny invited Philip to meet her Taiwanese friends for a potluck. It was a significant step, and Philip felt a rush of excitement mixed with nerves—this was the moment he knew they were in it for the long haul. As time went on, it became clear that Philip was spending more and more time at Jenny’s cozy 300 sq. ft. studio. The tiny space quickly felt like home, and they eventually decided to take the plunge and move in together. Every day spent together was a reminder of how perfectly they complemented each other. Philip loved that Jenny was as passionate about sports as he was, even allowing him to golf nearly every weekend. The icing on the cake was her love for sushi, particularly her preference for salmon, which is also Philip's favorite. Fast forward to February 15, 2023—a day Philip had been eagerly anticipating. With the beautiful backdrop of the snow covered balcony at Leeds Business School, where they both earned their master’s degrees, he summoned the courage to propose. As he got down on one knee, Jenny’s eyes sparkled with surprise and joy. When she said yes, it felt like the culmination of their incredible journey together and the promise of a beautiful future. Now, after some time has passed since that unforgettable day, we are ready to celebrate our love and the wonderful community of family and friends who have supported us along the way.
