We met in March of 2016 at a mutual friend's 21st birthday party while attending UNC Wilmington. It wasn’t until the next friend's birthday party that we really hit it off. We bonded over our love of Seinfeld, the Outer Banks, and cheap food and drinks. Over the next few months, we got to know each other better through many dollar well nights, dollar domestics, dollar tacos, and 50-cent wings. Later that summer, once Peter returned from studying abroad in Spain, he finally asked Jenny out on their first real date. We went to Yosake for sushi. We continued to date throughout the rest of college. After Jenny graduated, Peter moved back to Maryland while Jenny stayed in Wilmington for graduate school. At the end of 2018, Peter moved to San Diego for work, and Jenny followed shortly after. We lived in San Diego for about four years until we decided to move to Annapolis, MD, in 2023. The weekend before we left San Diego, Peter proposed to Jenny. Peter’s parents were in town that weekend, and he told Jenny they wanted to take family photos at Sunset Cliffs. When we arrived, Peter’s family and a photographer were hiding out of sight. Peter got down on one knee so quickly that Jenny didn’t even have the chance to put down the picnic blanket, and the photographer almost missed capturing the moment. Afterwards, Peter’s parents threw us a celebratory brunch with all our closest friends at Wonderland Pub. Then, we made our cross-country trip to our new home state of Maryland. Ever since, we have been enjoying our lives with our dog Tootsie and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
