Yes, both Mantoloking and Bay Head are Uber/Lyft friendly. We'd recommend using these to get to and from events when possible. If they are not available, here are a few local cab/van services you can also use: Brigg's Transportation: 732-892-1313 Sandys New Manasquan Taxi: 908-670-9071
Yes! We suggest arriving 15-20 minutes prior to the church ceremony to allow time for parking. St. Catharine's does not have a formal parking lot, but encourages guests to park on any side street.
We are estimating between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours in between our ceremony at St. Catharine's and our cocktail hour at Bay Head Yacht Club. For our guests who are driving from the church to the venue, St. Catharine's is approximately 20 minutes from Bay Head Yacht Club. We suggest making a stop at Charlie's, located at 72 Bridge Avenue in Bay Head for a drink or a small bite. Perfectly situated on the water and conveniently located a short 1/2 mile from the Club, this is a great spot to sip on one of their signature cocktails and get ready for a night of dancing!
Yes, please see our "Travel + Accommodations" page for more detailed information.
Our cocktail hour will take place on the outdoor covered deck overlooking the Barnegat Bay as well as the Barnegat Room & Bar. Guests have the option to be indoors and/or outdoors for cocktail hour. Both spaces are free-flowing through the venue and are accessible during both cocktail hour and the reception. We suggest bringing a light jacket, as our wedding will be taking place in October on the water.
The health and safety of our family and friends are very important to us. To minimize risk in these Covid-19 pandemic times, we ask that ALL guests be recently tested even if fully vaccinated. If you are unvaccinated, in addition to a negative PCR test within 48 hours, we request that you try to quarantine between the test and the wedding. Masks will be required for those unvaccinated at all weekend events. Unvaccinated guests, please email the negative test results to: kfbarrett@optonline.net by Friday, 8/29. As we get closer to the end of October, please understand that it is very possible, with the rise of the Delta variant, that we may still make the final decision that all guests attending our wedding events be fully vaccinated. Thank you for helping us make our wedding safe and enjoyable for everyone! We are hopeful that you can be with us but if you can’t come in person (and we will miss you!), our ceremony at St. Catharine Church will be live-streamed.
