We met in April 2013. It was a sunny morning and Megan’s first day on the job. After meeting in a larger group, I was tasked with taking the noobs around for an office tour. In retrospect there was chemistry between us right away... but as clueless 20 somethings we ignored the attraction, acted professional, and become good friends. This part only lasted about six months! We spent the first months of our relationship running around Brooklyn in the snow trying to keep it cool while we were being total nerds falling in love. The rest is history. Megan is the best thing to ever happen to me. We are basically inseparable, even after close to 8 years! We’re so excited to kickstart the rest of our lives together (ha! wrote this before Covid extended our engagement to 2+ years) and can’t believe how lucky we are to have such supportive friends and family to help us do just that.
It all started as an innocent workplace friendship. Little did we both know, there was something more. It was fall of 2013 in New York, we had known each other about 6 months at this point when we were sent down to Raleigh, NC for a work trip. It may not have been a romantic first date but we ended up at the bar together deep in conversation about failed relationships, college adventures, and well... a few drinks later... things were heating up. Neither of us truly had any intention of what was to happen next. Fast forward a few months later, we were totally crazy about each other. We kept things under-wraps for a few more months at work but by early spring, most of our coworkers knew we were a thing. Almost 8 years, 5 moves, 95 hikes, 6 trips to Lake Winnipesaukee, and countless adventures together, we're still goin strong and can't get enough of each other (ew). I am so blessed and lucky to have met Jen, she has brought joy to my life everyday (now in pandemic times, every minute!) We have the most amazing family and friends and we are so grateful to have each of you in our lives. Let’s celebrate!
