It started with a swipe...

Jenny and I met the most romantic way possible in modern times: online—because nothing says destiny like an app and a swipe made by someone else. Jenny didn’t swipe on me. Her cousin did. I thought my profile was charming. Jenny later confirmed it was not. Her cousin; however, took one look, swiped yes, and kicked off the conversation, apparently deciding Jenny’s love life needed immediate help. Thanks Ava. So our first messages were written by someone who couldn’t legally drive, while I carefully crafted replies, unaware I was being evaluated by a junior dating consultant. When Jenny eventually took over, the wit sharpened, the sarcasm improved, and I knew I was officially being judged by an adult. After a lot of messages, mild overthinking, and mutual confirmation that neither of us was a serial killer, we finally met. She looked like her pictures, the conversation flowed, and it turns out her cousin absolutely nailed the swipe. So yes, our love story started online—thanks to a cousin with better instincts than both of us. After a few years of dating, and break-ups, and dating some more, we decided to move in together with our children. We sold our respective houses and bought our home together in Catonsville. And after several family vacations, game nights and plain old co-habitating, I took the kids to Jared to help me pick the hardware that brings us here today. So please join us in celebrating the official blending of our family - our wedding.
