Their story started long before they were a couple—back when they were middle schoolers watching their brothers run high school cross country meets. They didn’t know it then, but they’d keep running into each other (literally and figuratively) for years to come. In high school, they were occasionally biology lab partners and even named a dinosaur project “Jenrad”—a mashup of their names that ended up aging surprisingly well. By senior year, they’d become good friends through their shared friend group and started dating the summer before college—the perfect time to start a relationship. Konrad’s family was moving to Michigan, he was off to Minnesota for school, and Jenny was headed to Dayton. The odds weren’t exactly in their favor, but they made it work. After a year and a half of flights, FaceTimes, and road trips, Jenny transferred to Minnesota, and they finally got to live in the same city. After graduating, they moved in together in Minneapolis and adopted their rescue dog, Ollie, who quickly became the center of their world. They’ve been in Northeast ever since—building a life together that feels like home. In December 2024, Konrad proposed, and now they can’t wait to make it official surrounded by all the people they love most.
