When should I arrive and leave?

Answer

It might be best to get into town on Friday, the 7th and leave Sunday, the 9th. Let us know when you plan to arrive in case there are any opportunities to hang out outside of the day itself!

Where should I stay?

Answer

The wedding venue, Drift Out West, is out in Driftwood, which is about 30 minutes southwest of downtown Austin. It's up to you how close you want to be to the venue or the city itself. Perhaps somewhere in between?

What's for dinner?

Answer

We're looking into a few options, but are leaning toward BBQ from the iconic Salt Lick. There will be plenty of sides for those who prefer non-meat options! Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions to be aware of! We'll also be serving carrot cake from Carpenter Hall, and TBD if there will be late night snacks.

Please join us between 4-4:45pm. The ceremony will start at 5pm!

What's the plan for the night?

After the ceremony, we'll have happy hour and take some photos, then dinner will arrive! If you feel called to make a toast, this is your moment. Then, we'll have our first dance and get the party started!! Cake will be served while we dance the night away!

How do I get there?

Answer

There is parking at the wedding venue (on gravel and grass). If you don't feel like driving, you should be able to catch an Uber or Lyft to the venue. However, it might be a longer wait to call an Uber or Lyft when leaving the venue, so plan for calling it early or setting up a scheduled ride!

What should I wear?

Answer

Suggested attire is cocktail, but please wear whatever you feel best in! The ceremony will take place on grass, so take that into consideration for your footwear. In early November, Austin typically experiences mild weather with average high temperatures around 72°F and average lows around 50°F.
