We’re getting married!

Horacio grew up in sunny California; Jenny in New Jersey. Naturally, they met in the middle of the country; Minnesota - with brutally cold winters and bad pizza. They met at orientation for the UMN biomedical engineering graduate program, and bonded a few days later at the Minnesota state fair over a bucket of Martha’s cookies and cheese curds. They continued to deepen their connection through hiking trips, competing in Spartan races, and exploring Minnesota & its many breweries. Throughout their time together, Jenny & Horacio faced many obstacles, both literal and metaphorical, but they always got through it together.

The summer after moving to Boston, Jenny & Horacio took a long needed vacation to California to do some of their favorites things: going to the beach, wine tasting, hiking in the Sierra Nevada, and visiting with friends. One night, after having dinner with a large group of friends, Horacio took Jenny to one of his favorite parks overlooking Orange County. With the light of the moon & the city, Horacio popped the question!
