What do dogs and rocks have in common? They’re the reason these two came together, that’s what!! David used to run a blog for his dog, Riley, and Jenny ran a blog all about rocks. One day in 2015, David messaged Jenny because he thought her blog ROCKED, and the rest is history. When they first “met”, David was living in Michigan, and Jenny was in Oklahoma, but distance was just a small barrier. They started with small talk, but David sent her a dad joke about labradorite (Jenny’s favorite mineral), and things took off from there over numerous FaceTime dates and late night texting sessions during 2016. Kirsy, Jenny’s oldest sister, noticed some missed calls from a weird area code, and she decided to figure out who this strange man from Michigan was and sent him a wedding invitation. So, on David’s very first trip to Oklahoma, he met the ENTIRE family and his fiancée to be, Jenny, in person. Now everyone in Oklahoma lovingly knows David. After a few more years being long distance, in 2019, David finally moved down to Norman, Oklahoma with Riley and his cat, Kishka, while Jenny finished her degree at the University of Oklahoma. They decided that more room would be nice for the four of them and found a wonderful house to rent in Oklahoma City. This is when Kira joined the family, David and Jenny’s rescue St. Bernard (they’ve got a thing for big dogs!). One day, while perusing Zillow as they do, Jenny and David found their dream home in 2020. It’s closer to their family, has a beautiful back yard for gardening, and plenty of space for the pups. And of course, with the extra space they decided to expand the family one more time and adopt Aslan, their 2nd cat. Now, Jenny and David are taking the next big step in their relationship and tying the knot! They love and appreciate all of your support and kindness, and thank you for being a part of this journey! Our long distance relationship only flourished with the love and support from all our friends and family.
