Intimate dinner party with our closest friends and family! Passed apps, cocktails, buffet dinner, music, lawn games, light dancing, and great conversation.
Officially- cocktail attire. But....it is a wedding in the woods....how about comfy chic cocktail attire? Seriously though, we want you to get dressed up, have fun, and enjoy a little adventure. Suits and ties, midis and maxis, sweater dresses, velvet pantsuits, and dressy separates in lots of fall colors is preferred and would make our day extra special, but we also want you to enjoy lawn games and maybe a campfire so wear something you will be comfortable in too. Don't forget practical footwear for the soft and sometimes precarious terrain!
Hahaha, yes and no! We are getting married near a nature preserve so while there are pathways and a cozy pavillion the outskirts around and about can be a little interesting footing wise so keep that in mind when choosing what to wear.
While we love your children, we would love it even more if you enjoyed yourselves with a night out sans kiddos. For that reason, children ages 12 and up only.
GPS does a decent job with directions. Be sure to allow plenty of time to get here as traffic can be congested on the way. Skip the interstate if you prefer the scenic route, but know this will add a large amount of time to your drive!
Parking at Waybird is limited so we think it would be best for groups and couples to carpool together whenever possible. If you decide to book a place to stay nearby, Uber is a great option to avoid any parking nightmares! Follow the wedding signs when you are nearby the venue to see where to park.
If you choose to make it an overnight stay, there are some fun Airbnbs nearby! Check out places in Lithonia, Conyers, Covington, Decatur, or Stone Mountain. Atlanta is only about 25 minutes as well if you prefer staying in a hotel!
Yes. We plan to have signature cocktails, wine, and beer as well as mocktails, water, and soda.
In most cases, your invitation was addressed to those invited to the wedding. When RSVPing online, you will see your plus one status. There will be a place to enter your name and if you are assigned a guest, it will show you that on the next page.
There ceremony will be unplugged- no pictures or videos so that our photographer can document the moment without distractions. However after the ceremony we would LOVE for you to take all the photos you want especially videos! We will have a QR code for you to upload your photos and videos after the wedding.
