Things To Do

Breakfast/Lunch

On the corner, check out Bodo's for bagels or Corner Juice for smoothies. Take It Away is our favorite for deli sandwiches - the house dressing is amazing. Grit has great coffee. On the downtown mall, Petite Mariebette has coffee and light breakfast. Farm Bell Kitchen and The Oakhurst Inn are great for a sit down brunch.

Dinner

On the corner, The Virginian is great for a casual burger or sandwich. The White Spot has counter seating for a quick burger and is also open late night. On or near the downtown mall, we recommend Orzo, Black Cow Chophouse, Public Fish and Oyster, Oakhart Social, Bebedero, Passiflora, and Lampo. Tavola (a Cory family favorite!) and Mas are a short drive / Uber away.

Bars

The Graduate has a great rooftop bar that is open 5pm-midnight. The lobby bar or rooftop at the Quirk Hotel are great places to meet for a pre-dinner or pre-wedding drink. Trinity, Boylan, and Coupes are the classic UVA bars where we also spent many nights at W&L formals.

Breweries

South Street Brewery is a short walk from the downtown mall. Kardinal Hall, Three Notch'd, and Starr Hill are all a short drive/Uber from town.

Vineyards

Pippin Hill and King Family Vineyard are 20-30 minutes from town.

Hiking

The hiking in the Charlottesville area is amazing; we will leave it to the experts to guide you! https://www.visitcharlottesville.org/blog/best-hikes-in-the-charlottesville-area/

UVA

Check out the Rotunda and the Lawn on UVA Grounds, which is right in town.

Monticello

Thomas Jefferson's Monticello has amazing historical tours and is a 15 minute drive from town.
