The story of me and Jenny began in the summer of 2016. I had just graduated high school and was preparing for college. My Birthday was in August and it was a big birthday for me because I was turning 18 years old. I planned an 18th birthday party with close family and friends from high school. My friend Wendy was coming to the party and asked me if she could invite one of her friends. I bet you can guess who it was. I said yes and thought nothing of it. My 18th party was not memorable to say the least maybe because I may have had a little too much to drink. I know I wasn’t 21 but if you know anything about growing up in a Hispanic household, 18 pretty much is 21. I have one memory from that night and it’s meeting Jennifer for the first time. She got to the party right after her shift at Jack in the Box. She was in her full uniform and I remember she had her hair up with her Jack in the Box hat and all I could think about was her red lipstick how beautiful her smile was. If you know me then you know I’m extremely shy so I was terrified to talk to her and that night I didn’t. That was genuinely the first time I instantly felt butterflies about someone. I developed a crush on her that night and after that night I would find any excuse to go to Jack in the Box with my friends to go see her during her shift. I remember I was so shy I would have to make my friends order my food because I didn’t want to make a fool of myself. After a couple weeks of overly eating Jack in the Box I finally built up the courage to talk to her…… by messaging her instagram. Jenny could tell you what happened next :) I’ve had the great fortune of meeting my soulmate on my birthday and I can’t wait to start this next chapter with the love of my life.
