Is there a dress code?

Please see "Wedding Details" section for more information about the dress code. Please avoid wearing the color red for our celebrations on 5/23 (Vietnamese and Nigerian wedding ceremonies).

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have only invited children of guests who we know and have a relationship with. Their names will have been written on the parents' invitations.

Are the Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and Yoruba Traditional Ceremony on the same day?

Answer

Yes, they are on the same day and at the same location! The event will start with our Vietnamese Tea Ceremony followed by our Yoruba Traditional Ceremony.

When will shuttles arrive and depart from our events on 5/23/26?

Answer

The shuttle will depart promptly from The Palmer House Hotel at 3:00 PM for Schaumburg Golf Course. The shuttles will be located on Wabash Street. Please arrive on time, as the shuttle cannot wait for late guests. Return shuttles will leave at midnight back to The Palmer House. Guests leaving earlier will need to arrange their own transportation (Uber/Lyft, taxi, etc.).

Are you having a Pittsburgh Cookie Table?

Answer

Yes, we are! If you would like to bring cookies, please contact us! This is a wedding tradition that originated in western PA during the Great Depression to offset the cost of cake. Family and friends would bake cookies to bring to the wedding for everyone to enjoy. During weddings now, people will eat cookies during the wedding and also take some home at the end of the night! In Pittsburgh, there is no wedding without a cookie table, and Anthony and I couldn't imagine having our wedding without one!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available for both days of celebration. For our celebration at Chandler's/Schaumburg Golf Course, complimentary parking is available in the on-site lot. For our celebration at the Palmer House Hotel, parking is available at the garage located across the street at 55 E. Monroe St. Self-parking is $28 for up to 8 hours, while valet parking is available for $36. Overnight parking rates are $55 for self-parking and $85 for valet service.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes we do; however, the link to our hotel room block is now closed. If you would like to book a room using our room block, please contact us at vuoyekanwedding@gmail.com! The last date to reserve via our room block is 5/13/26.
