Max and Jenny met through mutual friends at the University of Colorado Boulder (sko buffs). Max asked Jenny to be his date to a fraternity formal in Vail, Colorado and the rest was history! While in Boulder, Max and Jenny spent nearly every minute together swimming in Boulder Creek, eating and drinking their way through Pearl Street, and hiking Chautauqua. A few months after meeting Max moved to Denver while applying to medical school and Jenny finished her senior year at CU. They were lucky enough to share the same group of friends and spent the weekends visiting each other.

In May of 2019, Max received the long awaited news that he was accepted into medical school in Arizona. Coincidentally, Jenny found a job in Arizona and Mollie, Jenny's best friend, was accepted into the same graduate school as Max. The decision was easy, off to Arizona they went! They arrived in Arizona in the middle of the summer and unpacked their U-haul in record heat, 116 degrees to be exact. They had no idea what adventures would await. Over the next few years they fell deeper in love, and grew a little family of their own by adopting their Golden Retriever, Boone. Jenny received her masters in Speech Pathology and Max spent four years working his way though medical school. They spent their weekends hiking in Sedona, camping at the "edge of the world," and lounging by the pool with their best friends.

Max proposed on the beach in Longboat Key, Florida. LBK has always been a special place for Jenny and her family filled with many childhood memories. It also become a special place for Max and Jenny as they spent their first vacation there and continued to visit as often as they could. On 12.28.2021 Max took Jenny on a sunset stroll on the beach and got down on one knee. Max proposed with a ring he designed, including his late mom's diamond as the center stone. Most importantly, JENNY SAID YES. They celebrated with their families in Florida over New Years.
