Even though we had hung out a few times before, outside of work, our first official date was a day-long trip to Cedar Point. We wanted to get there as soon as the park opened, so we had to leave at 6 a.m. to make it there by 9:30-10am. Once we got there, as we were heading in, the song, "Time Of Our Lives" came on the radio and it described our day perfectly. We spent all day riding the rollercoasters and had brought dinner to have a picnic on the beach when we were finished. By the time we got to the beach after the park had closed, we found out that the beach was closed too! We had to improvise our dinner plans but it turned out just fine because near the park we found an open field right on the lakeside. We proceeded to have our picnic there and had our first dance to the song "Hero" with the sun setting behind us. We had our first kiss during this dance and it was the cherry on top of a perfect trip!
After two years of being together, I was asked to marry the man of my dreams on a B&B Riverboat dinner cruise. What had started out as a birthday dinner, had quickly turned into a night that I will never forget! We had finished dinner at our table and Harold excused himself for a few minutes and I didn't think much of it, until I heard him announcing for me to come forward to the cleared dance floor. Once I made it to him on the dance floor, he read me a speech in front of everyone, which I will never forget and he asked me to marry him! I was so excited that I hugged and kissed him before he even had the chance to put the ring on. We then danced to our song "Hero", and celebrated with champagne! It was truly a night to remember and the official beginning of our journey together. #ForeverAJennings
