Our story began on a warm summer night in August 2017 when our paths collided on a rooftop bar in downtown Denver. Although neither of us believed in this prior, it was truly love at first sight and our immediate connection was impossible to ignore. As our friends who witnessed this encounter have joked "the rest of us in the room disappeared once the two of you started talking." We started our dating journey as a long-distance couple, flying across the country monthly to visit each other as we completed our education at the University of Denver and West Point. The next three years post-graduation were a blur of countless weekend flights to and from Denver, NY, Atlanta, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Florida. Although long distance wasn't always easy, the trust and faith we had in our love and our commitment to maximizing every moment spent together made the rest worth it. While the circumstances were tragic, Covid enabled Meghan to work from home and move from Colorado to Matt's duty station in Seattle, Washington. With long-distance finally behind us, we began to create the life we always envisioned together. Every day of our relationship has been full of love, laughter, a few challenges, (as one can expect from the military), but we have come through it all as one and we could not be happier or more excited to begin this next stage of our lives together. We cannot wait to have you all here to celebrate with us. Even though this day will always be special to us, we feel it also is to celebrate you all who helped to inspire, mentor, support and love us individually, and together as the couple we have become.
