We met by chance in March of 2017 - Jennifer passed through Malmö one evening while traveling into Sweden to work on a photo story on off-grid living and sent a request to Anton on Couchsurfing, a networking website for travellers. Our conversation flowed effortlessly as we delved into the possibilities and future potentials and we discovered so many shared interests and passions - our love for travel, music, cultures all around the world - and a desire to live out our dreams. We parted ways both impacted by this encounter and set a plan to meet again on Easter weekend. Our lives were immediately fused together and by May we were travelling to Turkey to attend a wedding together. This is when we made our relationship official. In 2018, less than a year after we met, we took the plunge and moved to New Zealand and began our next chapter here. In 2022 we welcomed our son, Waylon and in 2023 we got engaged. This year we will travel home, to USA and Sweden, for the first time since we first moved to New Zealand, and we are so excited to share this special time with you.
