Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico. All wedding events will take place on property, so we highly recommend staying at the resort to be close to everything.

How do I book my stay?

Answer

Please book your room using our dedicated booking link under the "Hotel Booking Information" tab on this website to ensure you receive our negotiated group rates and are included in our wedding room block. If you don’t see the room type you want on the site, don’t worry. There are additional options available. You can reach out directly to our on-site coordinator, Karen Leon (karen.leon@tafersales.com) who can help you secure the exact room you’re looking for at the group rate.

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

We recommend arriving no later than Thursday to settle in and enjoy the resort before the wedding festivities begin. We also plan on hosting a Day-After Party on Saturday for those able to join. You are welcome to arrive early or stay later to extend your trip if you wish!

Will there be a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we’re planning a day-after celebration so we can spend more relaxed time together with everyone. More details to come soon.

What events should I plan to attend?

We will share a full schedule closer to the date, but you can expect the wedding ceremony and reception, along with at least one additional group event during the weekend.

Is transportation provided?

Transportation details to and from the airport will be shared soon. The resort is approximately 30–40 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, a valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Be sure to check expiration dates well in advance.

Is there a registry?

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. If you feel inclined, we have set up a honeymoon fund, but it is absolutely not expected.

What should I wear?

We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the full experience, so there’s no strict dress code for the weekend. Think resort wear that fits your style and the setting. Overall, wear what makes you feel your best!

Can I bring a guest?

Our guest list has been thoughtfully planned, and invitations reflect those who are included in the celebration. If you have any questions about your specific invitation, feel free to reach out.

Are children invited?

Answer

Children are welcome to join us! We understand that destination weddings can be a mix of family time and adult time, and we’re happy to include little ones in the celebration. That said, the overall wedding weekend will be more adult-oriented, with evening events, alcohol, and a lively atmosphere. We completely understand if you prefer to make it a kid-free trip. If you do plan to bring children, please let us know in advance how many and their ages so we can plan accordingly. Garza Blanca does offer a kids club, and there are larger one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom suite options that may be a great fit for families. These room types are not available through the booking link, and you must reach out directly to our on-site coordinator, Karen Leon at karen.leon@tafersales.com to explore options and secure the group rate.

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please plan to fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is the closest airport to the resort. Garza Blanca is approximately a 30–40 minute drive from the airport. Transportation options to and from the resort will be shared closer to the date.
