She was shopping for last minute supplies for her master's project. He was just getting off work and buying some snacks. She had tunnel vision and he had Jennifer vision. They kept "running" in to each other at the store and of course she was oblivious. As she was getting some soda and water from the fridge section he came up and said, "excuse me, I saw you shopping around and thought you looked like a nice person to get to know. Would you like to go out sometime? She responded, "what?! You just saw me in a store, you don't even know me. " His response is what clinched it, " Well I checked out and left the store and then I thought I may never see you again and the worst you could say was No, so I turned around and came back in. She responded, " I'm finishing a big project for my Master's degree but if you give me your number I'll call you when I'm done in a few days. She called later that week and they've been together ever since. They agree on how it all happened but not on what she was wearing 😉

On our annual drive to Arizona we stopped at the Santa Monica Pier because Sam told me he got tickets to an exclusive Train concert at the Pier. When we got there it was clear there wasn't a concert going on. I started to get suspicious. Shortly after arriving a friend of ours, Teddy, showed up and my suspicions lessened because I figured Teddy was the surprise since we hadn't seen him in a while. We started walking around the pier catching up. As we headed back from the end of the pier, Sam asked me to take a picture of him and Teddy with the Ferris Wheel in the background. After I took the picture, Teddy offered to take a picture of Sam and me. As I posed with Sam, he got down on one knee. I was shocked. During the proposal he said that his grandfather taught him that a knight bowed before a king, queen, or woman to show that he was willing to give his life to protect them and he was kneeling before me to show me the same. As he proposed, People around us were cheering and clapping. The best part is that Teddy caught the whole thing in video
