It all started in good ole' Valparaiso, Indiana everyone! We didn't know then, but we found our forevers in COLLEGE! Connor and I knew of each other back then, and years later he put his sales skills to work! I got a cold call from an unsaved number, and it was Connor! He invited me to go to a Bruno Mars concert out of the blue in Chicago...and I said yes! Little did we know we had instant chemistry, the best time, and have been inseparable ever since.

Connor was dead set on going to Sedona for my birthday weekend (even though I wanted to go to Flagstaff and go skiing!) Anyone who knows Connor knows that once he has something in mind, he is doing it and doing it RIGHT. I should have been suspicious when he told me to "put make up on" for our 7am sunrise hike on Bell Rock in Sedona. He knew I would be so mad if i had our engagement shoot with no make up on bright and early in the morning! We parked in the lot, and began our chilly (freezing) walk to the trail. A woman was briskly walking by us with a professional grade camera draped at her side. Chipper me, I started small talk about how early it was, and the woman said that she was a photographer and likes to get shots at sunrise for her photography business. She offered to show us a nice spot to watch the sunrise, then said she could take our photo once we got to the spot. I thought nothing of this.. until Connor turned to face me as she was taking our photo after a couple of seconds. I IMMEDIATELY knew what was going on... and couldn't stop yelling with excitement! He shushed me so he could get a word out (typical), and got down on one knee. He really gave me a #sunrisesurprise proposal that I couldn't have dreamt of! <3 <3
