Please RSVP no later than April 1, 2025. You can RSVP directly on this website or contact us directly if you're not able to on the website. If we haven't received an RSVP from you by that date, we will assume you won't be attending.
We made a tab on this website for hotels that are near the venue, starting with where we decided to stay in case you would like to stay near us, then going down the list from the closest to the church down to the furthest.
Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 121 East Duval St., Jacksonville, Fl. 32202
We ask that you plan to arrive 30 minutes early to leave room for traffic and parking and be seated by 2:15 pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 pm
There is parking directly in the front of the church at the intersection of Duval Street and Ocean Street. There is more parking available in the back of the church located at E. Church Street and Ocean Street. Please let me know if you would like a direction and parking map that we have and we would be happy to send it.
We ask that while at the church during the ceremony, you refrain from taking photos because we want everyone to be present in the moment. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer and would prefer no phones in our pictures. At the reception, please feel free to take all the photos you would like! Once we get our professional photos back we can send them to you if you would like some.
Thats ok! We suggest you watch a Catholic mass or even a Catholic wedding mass video on YouTube so that you know what to expect. There is singing and responses in the Catholic Church and we ask that you participate in the Mass if you are willing to. Most of the common responses will be in the red mass book in the front part (order of the mass) and the wedding mass-specific responses will be in that book starting on page 181. The song pages are usually announced and those can be found in the same book. There is some kneeling as well in certain parts and we ask that you kneel if you are able to. Also, there is communion which should only be taken if you have been confirmed in the Catholic church. Please see the next question to go over communion.
Communion which should only be taken if you have been confirmed in the Catholic church. If you haven't been confirmed you have 2 options: you can remain seated or you can go up for a blessing from the priest. If you decide to go with the blessing option, you will walk up with everyone else, with your arms crossed so that your left hand is on your right shoulder and your right hand is on your left shoulder. The priest will say their blessing and you will respond "Amen". If you are planning to take Communion, please let us know in the RSVP spot where we ask you about that, Thank you!
