We originally met on Facebook dating. We hit it off right away with our strong faith and love for our children. We talked over messenger than phone. He finally worked up enough courage to ask me to meet him for lunch one day. We met at Saltgrass in Port Arthur at lunch and by time we went back to our jobs, we both couldn't erase the smiles from our faces. We have been through a lot within our first year. We have separated and come back to each other. The love we have and share for one another is unlike anything either of us have experienced so far. We welcome our kids into each other's family with open arms and love them unconditionally. We have 7 children between us and one precious granddaughter so far. We are blessed beyond measure.
He took me to San Antonio for Christmas weekend/40th birthday so I could see the riverwalk lit up with Christmas lights. I had planned this trip in my head for a year. We got super fancy dressed (for us) and went to eat at J Prime. I had known he was going to propose soon after he talked to my boys and got their permission so while waiting for the food I point blanked asked him if he even had the ring. He said no. I told him once we got to the room I was going to find the ring and just put it on. He told the waiter it was my birthday so he had asked what complimentary dessert did I want. Next thing I saw was a waitress coming to ask if she wanted to take our picture standing. Trevor handed her his phone and what i thought was pictures was actually video starting because our waiter came around the corner with my dessert and my ring on the plate. Trevor took the ring out of the box and got down on one knee! Of course I said yes or this website wouldn’t be created! He is the love of my life and my rock!
