We’re Getting Married

Somewhere in a little town in Florida, fate brought Shaniqua and Jennifer together at work in the year of two thousand seventeen. From the moment Shaniqua transferred to Jennifer's store, Jennifer made sure Shaniqua felt at home. Shaniqua, being strong-willed and independent, wasn't one to ask for help, but Jennifer's caring nature and warm heart drew her in. Their friendship blossomed over shared meals and late-night conversations, bonding over Jennifer's delicious cooking and Shaniqua's appreciation for her friend's hospitality. Jennifer, with her big heart and love for helping others, always made sure Shaniqua felt supported, Shaniqua did the same thing in turn like helping her move into her first apartment here in sunny Florida. The two became the best of friends, inseparable as some would say. As their bond deepened over the years, they discovered they both loved exploring new foods, reading books, challenging each other in video games, and creating their own mini concerts where Shaniqua would hype up Jennifer with her infectious energy. Jennifer's passion for fishing, a skill passed down from her late grandmother, became a cherished pastime for them both, offering peaceful moments by the water, soaking in the warmth of the sun, and the rush of adrenaline through their bodies once one of them caught a fish or blue crab in their makeshift trap. Moments like these brought smiles to the couple’s face and extreme warmth in their hearts. Their friendship took a beautiful turn on a special surprise Mother's Day weekend getaway to the beach that Jennifer put together for them. From this weekend forward the two indeed were inseparable. The two officially changed their friendship status to dating. They shared swan rides together and traveled through different states over the years viewing the beautiful world that God created. Jennifer had never experienced riding on an aircraft before which is something that Shaniqua has had her fair share of rides, which one of her longest traveling all the way from Würzburg, Germany where she was born. Shaniqua set plans to take Jennifer to meet her family up in Chicago, Illinois where Jennifer in fact took her first airplane ride across the United States. From traveling state to state over the years sharing each other’s families with one another and new experiences they shared their first holidays together as partners such as Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. These moments together grew the love between both powerful women every single day. Jennifer and Shaniqua decided that since Shaniqua would be leaving her twenty somethings and entering her thirties, which are subject to bring her all the wisdom and grace, that they would throw a party for her and invite their closest family and friends to celebrate. During this time of planning the couple met their fair share of obstacles to which most would have canceled the party, but it was more than just a birthday celebration to Shaniqua, little did Jennifer know. Shaniqua had been planning the surprise of a lifetime, by turning her own birthday celebration into something totally different. Surrounded by their closest friends and family all holding in such a huge secret, Shaniqua proposed to Jennifer at the end of the night with a heartfelt speech and a sign that read "Will you Marry Me?" Overwhelmed with emotions and surrounded by cheers and tears of joy, Jennifer said Yes, sealing their love in a moment that would forever define their journey of life together. Their love story is a testament to the enduring power of devotion and resilience in the face of adversity, friendship, support, and a love that grows stronger with each passing day—a love that Shaniqua and Jennifer know is meant to last a lifetime no matter what impediments the couple will face in life they know that by putting God first and walking with him in life, they can overcome anything.
