What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP on this website by July 15th if possible. If you have any questions or need some more time, please reach out to Jenny or Sergio before 7/13

What should I wear for the event?

Answer

For the ladies, the theme is summer garden party so feel free to wear comfortable and breathable dresses/attire. The ceremony will be in a church and the reception will be outdoors on grass so comfy shoes (or a change of shoes) is encouraged. For the gentlemen, semi-formal is requested so button ups with suit jacket/tie optional. It will be hot, so breathable attire is highly recommended.

Where should I stay for the Wedding?

Answer

We recommend a few hotels in the area. The Residence Inn San Diego Rancho Bernardo/Scripps Poway is located right off the 15 freeway which is 25 minutes away from the church and less than 10 minutes away from the reception. The SpringHill Suites San Diego Rancho Bernardo/Scripps Poway is right next door to The Residence Inn above. The Hampton Inn & Suites San Diego-Poway is more inland from the freeway so the church will be closer to 35-40 minute drive but the reception will be only 5 minutes away.

What time should I arrive at the Ceremony/Reception?

Answer

The Church Ceremony will start at 12pm Noon on the dot so if you plan on attending, please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before (11:45am). For the reception, doors will open at 2:30pm and will have refreshments and appetizers available so come hungry!

Is there parking available near the wedding?

Answer

There will be plenty of parking available at the Church in Escondido. There is both a front and back lot that should be more than enough space for everyone. Parking at the reception will be more limited since it is a residential area. There should be ample parking, it just might be more of a walk. We ask everyone to be respectful and avoid parking in front of other's driveways.

Will the wedding be Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be in a church which is indoors but the reception will be outdoors so please dress accordingly for a warm summer wedding.

What will the weather be like for the day of the Wedding?

Answer

The forecast for August 30th in Escondido/Poway is ranging from peaks at low 90s (in Fahrenheit) to goes down to mid 60s. We expect the day to be warm but will have plenty of cold refreshments and air conditioning available.

Are we allowed to bring +1s or children?

Answer

The Invite/RSVP will specify exactly who is invited for the event. We tried to be as considerate as possible and include everyone, but we also have limited space. If you have any questions related to this, please reach out to Jenny or Sergio as early as possible.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We will be having a mix of Mexican and Peruvian classics available for dinner. A mix of both of the happy couples cultures will be available and we will also offer Vegan options for those interested. If you have a specific dietary restriction, please reach out Jenny and Sergio to make sure we can accommodate.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

The most important question of the evening. Yes the bar will be complementary so enjoy but please tip your bartenders and note that we may not have all types of spirits/drink types available.

What should we get the happy couple for their special day?

Answer

Honestly, your presence is the most important thing to us as long as you can make it, we would be incredibly thankful. If you really wish to get us a gift, we have a registry available above on the registry tab (https://www.zola.com/wedding/jenniferandsergioc/registry) or you can bring us something on the day of the event.

Am I allowed to take photos/videos at the wedding?

Answer

For the church ceremony, we ask everyone to please be respectful and refrain from taking any photos or videos. Outside of the church, feel free to use your devices. We will have a photographer and videographer who will capture the moments as well and will share it once those become available.

What time will the reception end?

Answer

The festivites will end at 10pm when our DJ and the rest of our service for the night will close shop.
