Jenny and Scott met how many couples today meet, online, but with a twist, in a support group for people with cerebral palsy, which they both have. They messaged and talked on FaceTime, and decided to meet, 5 states away from Jenny’s house in Texas! After 5 days together getting to know each other, meeting his friends, exploring Minnesota, and introducing her to his dad, Scott gave Jenny a promise ring and a plane ticket back. They dated long distance 4 months before moving in together in Scott’s house in Minnesota.

Several weeks previous, Scott noticed Jenny was not wearing her college ring and asked about it. “It’s too small. I think it needs to be a 7.5” 
He replied, “ Let’s put it in my safe.” She was fine with that. He asked, “What do you like?”
She responded, “I like hearts, and gold, to match my college ring.” She didn’t think much more about it. Fast forward to Christmas morning, Jenny is opening her gift. It is a ring box. Scott begins by saying, “it’s not what you think, I’m not ready for that yet.” 
Jenny opens the box and is overcome with emotion. Inside is her college ring, resized to fit her finger! The tears spill over and she kisses Scott. This gesture really touched her heart.
Later that evening, Scott suggested going out to Rice Park to see the Christmas lights. It was 18 degrees and snowy. In the center of the park, Scott produced a large box and said, “I forgot, I have one more present.” Jenny opened the first box, and there was another box inside that, like Russian dolls. She got to the last box, it was an iPhone box. She looked up at Scott, who was recording her reaction on his iPhone. “You got me an iPhone?” He gestured to her, and she opened the box to reveal a ring box. She looked up, tears in her eyes. “Really?” She couldn’t believe her dream was about to come true. Scott said those 4 magical words, “Will you marry me?” Jenny cried, “YES!”❤️💍
