We met at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN...I (Jennifer) remember seeing him sophomore year outside the residential hall we both lived in-Hilleboe/Kittelsby, in 1991, but I waited until senior year, October 1993, to ask him out! We had a mutual friend that introduced us. After graduation in 1994 from St. Olaf, Robert went to graduate school. I waited a year, but eventually followed him to Pittsburgh for a year. We dated for three years total and then our paths took us in different directions. Flash forward to 2010 and we connected again...he was in Japan! For the next two years he lived/worked in Japan and Jennifer visited as often as she was able. Robert returned to the US at the end of 2011 and started working in New York in 2012. We lived in separate states - Jennifer in Minnesota, raising two kids and pursuing a career in fundraising; Robert in New York dedicated to his career at Barclays Capital and then various investment firms. We endured many years of a long distance, dedicated relationship, with many trips in between, until 2020. We decided to purchase a home in Florida during the pandemic and the rest is history.
