That First Wink 😉😉

If you know either one of us, we are not those "Let's go to the bar and pick up someone" kind of people. We both surprisingly signed up for Match.com at the same time after failing to meet some good quality people the "normal" way. One day, I received a notification that someone sent me a "wink ;-)". This was the first step in starting to talk to someone online because they are showing interest in you. I went to this guy's profile and his profile picture was him, in his scrubs with bear ears! (Who doesn't love a good Snapchat filter!) So I read through his profile and he seemed like someone I would be interested in. I ultimately decided to send him a quick "Hello" to see if he would respond to my message. And to my surprise he did! We talked for a few weeks getting to know each other. Learning about each other's favorite color, movie, how many tattoos we have, what we like/disliked, family, work and friends. After learning that we potentially liked each other, we decided to have our first date (and actually second date). We first met in the parking lot at Bar Louie in the Waterfront. Giving each other a hug and walking to the restaurant already smiling. We had a great time!! Laughing and joking with each other and just enjoying each other's company. We both agreed to go on our second date a couple days later to our first Pittsburgh Penguins game. These dates led to many more outings and memories to come. From going to Washington DC for the cherry blossom festival, more Pens and Pirate games, traveling to Jamaica, throwing Nick a surprise "Not turning 30" party and proposing to me. We found out that our relationship is as natural as they come and we love spending our time with each other. From going on adventures to different cities and countries to just going to the grocery store. Now it is time to write a new chapter in our love story with our upcoming wedding.

For all the days along the way
