We went here on our first date. Pacifica is a small coastal town and the perfect place to watch surfers or start a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Be sure to grab a coffee from Soul Grind where they roast their own beans, or sandwich and salad from High Tide Cafe & Crêperie.
We started our morning here the day of our proposal. The Ferry Building houses artisan food merchants, delicious dining and drinks, small eateries, and shops. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays you will find the farmer's market featuring local growers, makers, and chefs. You can also catch the ferry to places like Angel Island, Alcatraz, and Oakland.
This is where Nezam proposed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Be sure to dress in layers as the ferry ride over can get a bit chilly. Bonus points if you're the first one off the ferry!
We love going to Golden Gate Park because there is so much to do and see. Ride bikes, row boats, explore museums, or check out all of the gardens. Tip: Grab sandwiches from a local deli and have a picnic at the park.
We absolutely love going to Santa Cruz on the weekends. Grab beers at Humble Sea Brewing and Sante Adairius Rustic Ales, then get a bite to eat at Copal or Pono Hawaiian Grill. End the day with a walking along the coast and watching the sunset.
Downtown Walnut Creek is one of our go to places for day dates and nights. There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from and tons of shopping.
Santana Row is a vibrant outdoor district that blends shopping, dining, and entertainment. We come here for lunch on the weekends or dinner and drinks for date night.
Napa and Sonoma counties are known for their world class wineries and picturesque vineyards. It's the perfect place to get away from the busier Bay Area and spend your day wine tasting. The region also has incredible dining. We highly recommend The Prisoner Wine Company, Domain Carneros, Mumm Napa, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, and Mustard's Grill.
