We met at work! My first time meeting Michael was in a job interview at Grandview Medical. I was interviewing for an accounting position. I didn't officially get to know him until I got the job (thanks Steve Redden)! I thought Michael talked a lot more than he worked while in the office, but his smile and his charm made coming to work each day more fun. Soon, we began a Run Club, and would meet at Spain Park a few times a week to run. We talked more about our families, friends, and the every day struggles of life until eventually we fell in love.

I planned us a long weekend in Nashville, since we both had the Monday off. Our first stop that weekend was Arrington Vineyards outside of Franklin. We brought a picnic basket full of cheese and meats and sat on this gorgeous, low-humidity July day and enjoyed the music and scenery. As I was sipping some Chardonnay, Michael leaned over with the ring box and proposed. I said yes! It was the perfect day.
