We're excited to celebrate with you!

Matthias and Jen met in 2013 at an event in the last week of their undergrads at UBC. Within a week, they were officially a couple. Both knew that they had met their match. He was finishing his degree in Engineering and about to start his first job at Phillips. She was finishing her degree in Psychology and about to start law school. Flash forward 9 years and Matthias has an MBA degree and is pursuing a career as an entrepreneur, and Jen is an employment lawyer. The past 9 years have included countless adventures together, lots of laughs, living on the other side of the continent, and making memories with families and friends.

On March 23, 2019 (Jen's Birthday), Matthias planned a nice, quiet boat ride. After a slight delay due to a rotten fish, they made their way up to Twin Island. Matthias took Jen for a walk to a lighthouse overlooking the water where he popped the question. Jen said yes (immediately) and out from the bushes popped their friends with music and champagne. It was a special day that they will never forget.

After facing another delay of our wedding due to the pandemic, we decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony with our immediate families present. On July 16, 2021 we officially became husband and wife, and we are so happy to be married! Now that things are returning to normal, we're looking forward to celebrating with our loved ones together in one room. We can't wait to dance the night away with you all!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first baby (a girl) in June. It's going to be a busy and exciting summer!!
