Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If you are traveling solo, we would love for you to bring a plus one! Please RSVP accurately for you and your guest, so that we can have an accurate guest count for wedding festivities.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes, kids are invited. While they may not have been listed on your Save the Date/Invite, by including them in your resort reservation we will know to count them for the wedding!

Do I have to stay at Moon Palace The Grand Cancun?

Answer

Yes. Because our wedding events are taking place on the property, the resort requires all wedding guests to be booked within our room block. Guests not booked under the block will not be granted access to wedding weekend events. This is a resort security policy, not something we have control over.

Is there a fee if I book outside the room block?

Answer

Yes. Booking outside the room block means you will not have access to the discounted group rate, the included perks, or the wedding weekend events. The only exception is upgrading to a higher room category (such as ocean view), which can be done with the help of Jessica.

Is it safe?

Answer

Yes. Moon Palace The Grand is a large, private, gated all-inclusive resort with controlled entrances and 24-hour on-site security. The property is located more than a mile from the main highway and sits within an exclusive gated resort complex, adding an additional layer of privacy. Most guests spend their time enjoying the many amenities on the property.

Is airport transportation included?

Answer

Guests who book four or more nights receive complimentary round-trip airport transfers. Book your transportation at least 48 in advance at via the link in your booking confirmation. For guests staying fewer than four nights, reach out to Jessica for help with booking a safe, reliable airport transfer.

When should I book my room?

Answer

As soon as possible. Rooms may fill quickly, and the deadline to book within the block and submit full payment is Thursday, April 22. After that date, we cannot guarantee availability or the group rate.

When should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving by Thursday, May 20 to settle in and enjoy the resort before the wedding. The group rate is available from May 17 through May 27, so feel free to arrive earlier or extend your stay and make it a full vacation.

How many nights do I need to stay?

Answer

A minimum of three nights is highly recommended. Most guests stay four to five nights, but you are welcome to extend your trip as long as you would like.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. It should be valid for at least six months beyond your return travel date.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors under a gazebo. Please plan accordingly.

What is there to do at the resort?

Answer

Quite a bit. Moon Palace The Grand offers multiple pools, a water park with slides and a lazy river, non-motorized water sports, a luxury spa, a Jack Nicklaus golf course, a fitness center, nightly entertainment, bowling, numerous gourmet restaurants, and a speakeasy with craft cocktails. There is an adults-only pool, supervised kids clubs, and teen arcade areas as well.

How do I book spa treatments, golf, excursions, or tours?

Reach out to Jessica with your preferences and she will connect you with the appropriate department at the resort. Response time is typically two to three business days on the resort’s end.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Answer

Yes. Please contact Jessica with your name and booking confirmation number and she will assist you.
