General Information

The wedding & reception will be held at The Hotel Salem in downtown Salem, Massachusetts. Uber, Lyft, taxi service, rental cars, and public transportation are all readily available throughout the area.

The Hotel Salem

This is the location of the ceremony & reception. Reservations under our room block were due January 1, but there may still be availability. You may contact The Hotel Salem at 978-451-4950 and specify the Cantell/Simmons Wedding when making a reservation. Please note that the hotel is located on a pedestrian walkway. If you are being dropped off, we recommend requesting the corner of Essex & Washington Streets as your destination. The Hotel Salem is a 1-minute walk east on Essex Street. If you are driving your own vehicle, 10-minute parking is available at 50 Church Street for passenger & luggage drop-off. Please note that the hotel does not offer on-site parking, validation, or valet service. The closest parking facility is the Downtown/Museum Place garage, 1 New Liberty Street. Street parking may also be available, and meters are enforced from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday. Please be mindful of snow and street sweeping signage.

Flight

Boston Logan International Airport

Although various ground transportation options are available from Logan International Airport, we recommend Uber, Lyft, or a rental car for our guests arriving by air. The drive to Salem is approximately 40 minutes in normal traffic. If you are utilizing Uber or Lyft, be sure to indicate your arrival terminal in the app, then follow the signs to the App Ride/TNC pickup area. Please note that airport security regulations prohibit Uber & Lyft drivers from picking up passengers in any other areas of the airport. The fare to downtown Salem is approximately $35 in normal traffic.

Train

MBTA Newburyport / Rockport Line

Commuter Rail service from Boston's North Station and other points is available via the Newburyport/Rockport Line. Please visit the MBTA website for up-to-date timetables and service advisories. The Hotel Salem is a 5-minute walk from Salem Station. Please note that the Commuter Rail does not serve Logan International Airport.
