Yes!
Isla Mujeres is a tiny Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. Population: 12,642 (2010) Length: 7 km (4.3 mi)
That's up to you! The wedding is Monday and we don't recommend an early flight the next day. There will be other activities around the island during the week starting on Saturday. If you decide to come for 3-4 nights, we recommend arriving to the island on Saturday and leaving Tuesday or Wednesday.
We love your kiddos—truly. But please note that the wedding ceremony and reception are events for adults-only.
Absolutely! This is your vacation too. Stay wherever you like, just please note that some hotels will not allow outsiders to enter (our designated hotel, Ixchel Beach, is one of them).
Nope - I don't even think it's an option. Instead, you can rent a golf cart for the day, or even the week! If you are staying in the Playa Norte area, you can walk to so many great restaurants and bars!
Now! Please see the link on the travel page.
You will want to take a taxi to your hotel from the ferry (or you can drag your luggage through town). You can get a taxi at the taxi stand, which is to the leſt when you walk out to the street. The taxi should only cost $2-4 USD downtown or $4-10 USD if you are staying outside of the downtown area. If you have a lot of luggage, you will want to tip another couple of dollars to the driver. Taxis only take cash and please be sure to tip!
Shame on you! You should learn the basics: fiesta, cerveza, siesta... But if you don't speak Spanish at all, do not fret - almost everyone (especially in the Cancun area) knows English. But don't be shy about using what you know... the locals appreciate it.
