I had just gotten out of a semi-serious relationship at the time, and Kevin had also been newly single for a little less than a year. We had both spent the majority of our young-adult lives with people who were not good to us. After my break-up I told myself that I was DONE with dating for a while and I was going to focus on school and Aubrey. I was not looking to get into a relationship and didn't even want to give guys any attention, but God had other plans (LOL). We were both out for a night on the town and wound up at Sand Bar at 3 in the morning. I saw him from across the bar and recognized him almost immediately (I knew his ex.) His brother knew the girl I was with and when he saw me, they decided to come over and talk to us. We talked for hours that night and made plans to hang out again on New Years Eve about two weeks later. We met up on New Years Eve and have basically been inseparable ever since. I knew the moment we kissed on NYE that he was so special and that he was someone I could definitely spend the rest of my life with! We are so excited to share this experience with all of our loved ones and we can't wait to see everyone!
