Access Instruction for the Naval Academy

In order to access the Naval Academy everyone must drive and have a Real ID, Passport, or DOD ID. You will be able to access the academy campus via Gate 8. Use the following address in your GPS to get to get to Gate 8- 94 Bowyer Road , Naval Academy MD 21402 Once on campus, drive straight down Decatur Ave. until you see a parking garage on your right. You can put the ‘US Naval Academy Museum’ into your GPS, and turn right just before you reach the museum. The Chapel is a 5 minute walk from the parking garage. Street parking on campus is first come first serve. If you see a spot that does not say ‘Reserved’ you are permitted to park in it.

Driving to Kent Island

There will be a shuttle leaving The Maryland Inn at 3:30pm to go to the reception. There will be a returning shuttle at the end of the night. If you would like to drive to Kent Island there is plenty of parking near the main manor house and the farmstead (barn) where the reception will be taking place. There may be construction on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. It will remain open, but there will be a reduced number of lanes. Your navigation may try to reroute you- we HIGHLY recommend using the bridge.
