Josh and Jenny met in the most romantic way possible, Match.com. It was very early in the morning when Jenny received a “like” on her profile. She checked out the Match and saw a good looking fella posing with an upright bass. Musician? Check! She wrote to him saying, “You’re up early!” and he replied “I have dogs who demand walks, and a job that demands my presence”. Animal lover? Check! Employed and responsible? Check! Their chit-chat turned in to a week long conversation and then a first date. Despite their deep NFL Team rivalry, Josh and Jenny fell madly in love. Shortly thereafter Josh met the OTHER love of Jenny’s life: her 3 year old son, Magnus. A deeper connection built on LEGOs, PJ Masks, baking, laughing, parenting, and memories took place. They became a family before he ever said the words “Will you marry me.” Jenny said “Yes,” Magnus said “Yes,” the puppies said “Yes,” and they lived, and will continue to live, happily ever after. Go Steelers! -Jenny
Things seem to happen both too slowly and too quickly at the same time. Just weeks after sending out our Save the Dates, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to postpone the wedding. It was so important for us to have you all there, with the current climate and out of respect for everyone’s health and well being we realize that it just isn’t plausible at this time. We love you all and look forward to brighter days ahead. Stay safe. -Jenny
What a year it has been, we hope you and yours are all safe, healthy, and surviving this crazy heat wave! Josh and I are back on track for a 1/8/2022 wedding and will be shipping out invitations soon! Please check back here for details on hotels, parking, and general information (such as: make sure you bring a warm coat!) We will be updating as much as possible. Love y’all, Jenny
Welcome to our wedding website. Get comfortable, take your shoes off, lean back and just enjoy the melodies… Seriously though, get comfy. That is the whole idea of our winter wedding in the mountains. Yes, mother nature willing, there will be snow and we will do our best to make you all feel wrapped up in coziness and joy. As this is technically a destination wedding, we will be adding as much information as we can to help everyone locate accomodations and find fun things to do. Please help us out by getting RSVPs back to us as soon as possible so we can plan to have enough hot chocolate for the masses. Lots of love, Josh, Jenny, Maggs, Dennis, and Coop
We have been engaged for almost 5 years and had to postpone our wedding for one of those years, so why does it feel like we are RUSHING to get everything done now?!? Three-ish months until our big day but those three months happen to be October, November, and December. Just a few teensy-weency holidays sprinkled in there for a fun challenge. Please dont forget to send your RSVPs back and book your rooms. Once the holiday season rolls in you will have plenty of other things on your priority list!
Full steam ahead, y’all. Wedding planning is moving along and we are doing everything in our power to plan an event that makes you all feel all warm and cozy inside! If you havent booked a hotel room, do so! If you have questions about where to stay, reach out! If you will be in McCloud on Friday night PLEASE LET US KNOW! We want to invite you to our rehearsal dinner. We will be asking all attendees of the rehearsal and wedding to either confirm that they are vaccinated, or take a (provided) covid test the day before the wedding. If you are not vaccinated, please let us know in advance so we have a test for you. We truely appreciate your help with this. We are determined to avoid any of our beloved guests taking home the most unwanted souvenir of all.
We are SO EXCITED to be seeing y’all soon and, oh yeah, to be getting freakin married!!!! This week has blanketed McCloud in inches of snow and we are crossing our fingers that it continues so we can have a wintery white wedding. This week also brought the news of a new 30 day long mandate to mask indoors in California. Our wedding falls within that 30 day time period. While we are getting married outside (in the snow 🤞) our reception is scheduled to be indoors. Please plan in advance and bring a mask. We will have some disposable masks for emergencies but they will TOTALLY clash with your outfit!
Well our wishes for snow have been answered, with GUSTO! This is your friendly Siskiyou County reminder to travel with chains/cables when you are coming up or down I5. The road crews do an INCREDIBLE job of keeping our major interstate clean and clear, but they cant work faster than mother nature. We want to see all your smiling and chattering faces, which means getting here safe and sound. Please drive carefully, plan accordingly, and follow the CalTrans website for weather/road condition updates. Lots and lots of love, Josh and Jenny
