FAQs

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

For day guests, please arrive at the venue at around 1pm for the 2pm ceremony so you can find parking and mingle with the wedding party and fellow guests in the clubhouse or just outside the venue. The lodge will be available to guests from 1:30pm. For evening guests, we please ask to join us from 7:30pm so you can settle in before joining in with the cake cutting and first dance!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The venue is at the Styal golf course, and we please ask you to use the wedding section of the car park hidden on the left hand side where you drive in. There will be signs on the day to showcase where you need to go.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be an indoor event in Styal's lovely lodge, and if we are blessed with amazing weather in time for the drinks reception, we can go into their beautiful patio outside.

Question

Can I smoke indoors?

Answer

Unfortunately, the venue does not allow smoking or vaping within the lodge. If you do wish to do so, please go outside on the patio or the front door.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue throughout has no stairs and also includes a disabled toilet.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We would want all day guests to please RSVP through the website or by confirming via messaging/calling us by August 1st. For night time guests, please RSVP by August 15th.

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

As much as we love your kids and would want them to join in this celebration, unfortunately we cannot accommodate them on our day and do wish for a child-free wedding besides the ones in the wedding party. We would also love for all of you hard-working parents to let your hair down, let yourself loose and have a great night full of dancing!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As much as we would love to invite everyone, we simply have to be strict with plus ones. So, any plus ones that are invited will listed on the invitation envelope and RSVP on the website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for you to dress your best! (As long as there is no white dresses, hehe)

Question

What do I do if I have a dietary requirement?

Answer

Please let us know through your RSVP or message us directly letting us know what you need to have or stay away from (pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan or nut allergies etc.)

Question

Are we allowed phones at the ceremony?

Answer

As we are having an unplugged ceremony, we kindly ask that phones are put away during the ceremony and when the bride is walking down the aisle. We have booked amazing photographers and videographers that are going to capture the moment forever, and we would much rather see your faces than your phones.

Question

What can I bring as a gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, but if you wish to honour us with a gift then we would love a contribution to our honeymoon, it would mean the world to us!

Question

Can I bring alcohol in?

Answer

The lovely bar staff are happy to serve you throughout the night so please do not bring in any of your own alcohol.

Question

Can I go on the golf course?

Answer

As much as we love to golf and it's not that far from the ceremony, no guests are allowed on the golf course. So please stay on site throughout the event.

Question

When do we leave?

Answer

Last orders at the bar are at 12:30am. For a smooth departure, we kindly ask our guests to leave by 12:50am so the bride and groom can have a private last dance to end the incredible night.

Question

Where do I stay?

Answer

We have a list of recommendations listed under the accommodation tab on this website, feel free to have a look at some of the hotels and rooms that are around the area. As we are not that far from Manchester Airport, we do have quite a selection. If there are none there that you fancy, feel free to look online to see more!

Question

How can I order a taxi?

Answer

Styal Lodge uses Lynx taxi's as they are the most reliable and the quickest. The number will be on the door at the end of the wedding. Or you could use UBER or any other local taxi services.

Question

Can cars be left overnight?

Answer

You can leave your car in the car park, however it will be at the owner's risk.

Question

Who shall I contact if I have any questions?

Answer

Please contact the bride, Jennifer, if you have any further questions via messenger, email or text!
