Where are you getting married?

Answer

We’re getting married in San Juan, Puerto Rico! Our wedding ceremony will take place at the historic Iglesia San José in Old San Juan. The reception will follow at The Hitching Post, located within the beautiful Hacienda Siesta Alegre in Río Grande. Overlooking the lush El Yunque Rainforest and charming stables, this nature-filled venue is the perfect backdrop for our intimate celebration.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Wedding Ceremony & Reception: Formal / Cocktail Attire We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Please dress to impress and avoid wearing denim, shorts, flip-flops or white dresses. For Women: Dresses of appropriate length — midi or maxi Dressy block heels, platform heels, wedges, or elegant sandals (comfortable for walking on cobblestone streets) For Men: Lightweight suit or dress pants with a collared shirt Jacket optional but encouraged Closed-toe shoes (Kindly no shorts, jeans, or flip-flops)

Can I bring a plus one?

We’re keeping our wedding intimate with our favorite people, so plus ones will be limited. If you’ll have a plus one, it will be indicated on your formal invitation. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We love your little ones, but we’re keeping our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you can celebrate this milestone with us!

There are a number of hotels and stunning AirBnbs in San Juan.

Will there be transportation between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided for guests. A shuttle will depart from Iglesia San José at 4:00 PM and transport guests to the reception at The Hitching Post in Río Grande, which is approximately a 30–40 minute drive from Old San Juan. Return transportation will also be available, the shuttle will depart the reception venue at 11:00 PM and return to the San Juan area. Seats are limited, we kindly ask that you RSVP for a shuttle seat via text.

Getting Around Puerto Rico?

Answer

If you want to explore beyond the city and experience more of the Island’s beaches, historic sites, and hidden gems, renting a car is your best option. However, Ubers and Taxis are a great choice for the San Juan metro area. Fares are generally reasonable but can increase during periods of high demand.
