Tips

The best part about Key West is that you won’t need a car! The island is wonderfully compact and easy to explore on foot, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants just a short stroll away. If you need to venture a bit further, Ubers and Lyfts are everywhere and very budget-friendly. Since April is one of the island's busiest and most popular months, we highly recommend booking your stay as soon as you know you’ll be celebrating with us! To help you decide where to stay, here’s a quick breakdown of the three main areas: Old Town: The heart of the action and the best spot for first-timers. It’s the most walkable area and home to the best nightlife, though it does come at a premium. This is also where you’ll find the most Airbnb and vacation rental options. New Town & Stock Island: These areas offer more budget-friendly and spacious resorts, making them a great choice for families. While they are more residential, they’re only a quick 10- to 20-minute ride from Old Town. We’ve done some digging and shared our top hotel recommendations below!

Flight

Key West International Airport

The most convenient way to get to Key West is by flying directly into Key West International Airport. You can call uber/lyft from the airport to your hotel easily.

Best Values in Old Town

NYAH Key West (Adults Only): This is a very popular choice for groups. The name stands for "Not Your Average Hotel." They have a flexible room setup where you can configure rooms with multiple beds, making it much cheaper for friends to split a room. Vibe: Social, modern, and fun. Amenities: Three pools, a hot tub, and a daily continental breakfast. The Palms Hotel: Located just a few blocks from the busier part of town, this historic inn offers a much more "local" feel at a lower price point than the big resorts. Vibe: Quiet, tropical, and charming. Amenities: Heated pool, wrap-around porches, and free breakfast. Blue Marlin Motel: If you just want a clean, simple place to sleep so you can spend your money on Duval Street, this is a classic choice. It’s remarkably close to the Southernmost Point. Vibe: Traditional "no-frills" motel. Amenities: Large pool and free parking (a huge plus in Old Town).
