Do I need to arrange transportation from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

We will provide shuttle service for guests who arrive to the Santa Barbara airport around 12pm PST on August 7th. The shuttle will take you from the Santa Barbara airport to The Inn at Mattei's Tavern or your Airbnb. If you want to take advantage of the shuttle, please share your flight details in the RSVP section. There is a box dedicated to this information. If you are arranging your own transportation, Gold Coast Executive Transportation offers elegant sedans, SUV’s, Sprinter-style luxury vans or a Mini-Coach for larger groups. This a great option to explore the Santa Ynez valley and its renowned vineyards, world-class restaurants, and miles of adventure. Private Transportation / Taxi / Uber: Request transportation at least four hours prior to your requested departure time from the resort or your hotel to ensure success. Ubers and taxis are not plentiful in the valley and must be arranged in advance!

Yes, we will provide transportation to and from The Inn at Mattei's Tavern the list of hotels provided on the wedding day.

Should I stay in Los Olivos?

Answer

The wedding will take place in Los Olivos, an adorable town in the Santa Ynez Valley, about 30 miles north and inland of Santa Barbara. It’s home to wineries with a cult following — like the beloved Stolpman Vineyards, a.k.a. the producer of Love You Bunches; a new restaurant from the chef behind Los Alamos gem (and Michelin-starred) Bell’s; and the brand-new Auberge Resort, The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, where Jen and Jerry are staying. The Inn is within walking distance from the main drag of Los Olivos, home to popular central California wineries and tasting rooms, shops and restaurants. However, if you choose to stay elsewhere, Buellton and Solvang are nice options, too.

This is entirely up to you. Transportation to and from the wedding and reception to and from the list of recommended accommodations will be provided. What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is outdoors. It will be hot. No ties for men. Dress light (think linen and flowy). The reception is indoors, and it gets cold at night so bring a wrap. Los Olivos is a California chill town where people wear cowboy boots, hats and enjoy a laid-back vibe.
