Question

When should I plan to arrive in Charleston?

Answer

Since we have events on both Thursday and Friday, we recommend arriving by Thursday afternoon so you can join us at the welcome reception at the The Bar & Patio at Husk from 5:00–7:00 PM. It's the perfect way to kick off the weekend before the big day!

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Charleston International Airport (CHS), which is about 12 miles from Hotel Emeline - roughly a 15–20 minute drive. The easiest way to get to the hotel is by Uber or Lyft, which typically runs $35–$40. Taxis are also available at the airport. If you're considering a rental car, keep in mind that Charleston's historic district is very walkable and most of our recommended hotels are close to everything - you may not need one!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a room block reserved at Hotel Emeline, right where the wedding is taking place - 181 Church St, Charleston, SC 29401. You can book using our dedicated link: https://book.passkey.com/e/51232314. We recommend booking early as rooms will go quickly. If Hotel Emeline is sold out or you're looking for other options, we also recommend these nearby hotels, all within walking distance of the venue: The Ryder Hotel - 237 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401 Mills House - 115 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401 Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historic District - 125 Calhoun St, Charleston, SC 29401

Question

Is parking available at Hotel Emeline?

Answer

Yes, valet parking is available at Hotel Emeline for $53 per night. There is also a public parking lot right across the street from the hotel entrance with a maximum charge of $30/day.

Question

How do I get around Charleston?

Answer

Charleston's historic district is very walkable, and most of our recommended hotels are within easy walking distance of the venue. Uber and Lyft are also widely available if you need a ride.

Question

Is there a welcome event for family and friends?

Answer

Yes! We'd love to see you the evening before at our welcome reception at Husk - 74 Queen St, Charleston, SC 29401 - on Thursday, October 1st from 5:00–7:00 PM. We'll be gathering at their charming Bar & Patio - we can't think of a better way to kick off the weekend!

Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to be seated by 4:00 PM. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can find your seat and settle in before the ceremony begins.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional - dark suits, formal gowns, and cocktail attire are all warmly welcomed. The ceremony and reception are outdoors, so we recommend comfortable shoes you can dance in and a light wrap for the evening breeze.

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Yes, a full dinner will be served at the reception. We can't wait for you to enjoy the food with us!

Question

Will there be a dietary restriction or allergy option on the RSVP?

Answer

Yes! There will be a space on your RSVP card to note any dietary restrictions or allergies. Please fill that in so we can make sure everyone is taken care of.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

No need to worry - we have a beautiful indoor backup plan, including a greenhouse space, so the celebration will go on rain or shine!

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will wrap up at 10:00 PM. Charleston's historic district is very walkable, and Uber and Lyft are both readily available if you need a ride home.

Question

Is there anything going on the day after the wedding?

Answer

Come hang with us! We'll be spending Sunday at Saltwater Cowboys - 130 Mill St, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 - a laid-back waterfront spot on Shem Creek, just a short drive over the Ravenel Bridge from downtown Charleston. No formal plans, just good company.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, phones and cameras are welcome! We'd love for you to capture the moment. Keep an eye out for our wedding hashtag - coming soon!

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

We do - stay tuned! We'll share it soon so you can tag your photos from the weekend.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline and how do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVP details will be included in your formal invitation. Please mail your response back to Jen and Jeff by the deadline noted on your invite. We can't wait to hear from you!
