Jen & Jacques met on April 20th (not kidding) in 1997 during her last few months of High School. They had tons of mutual friends but had never met each other. She was working at the local arcade, and Jacques came in to guess what? Play video games! Both of them big personalities were quite shy towards another but agreed to meet up to celebrate the "Holiday" later on in the evening as they are both cannabis aficionados. They lit up, talked about life, had some laughs then he made his move, they kissed! She was a lady, had to get up for school and went home. Both high on cannabis AND on LOVE, they knew they found something special. They made plans for the weekend to go on a date. So, to the drive-in they went. Her prom was coming up in 2 weeks and still had no date, no plan, no nothing. After hearing this, Jacques swooped in and saved the day accompanying her to her one and only prom. The picture is EPIC and still talked about to this day. They carried on for 3 1/2 years. They decided to split on a romantic level in 2000 but, remained friends. Both of them going in different directions but, ALWAYS coming together with one another time after time the last 28 years. No matter what path was taken decade after decade it ALWAYS lead back to them being together. Just wasn't the right time. After a unfortunate tragedy they reconnected in October 2024 and quickly realized after 24 1/2 years they didn't want to be without each other one more second. Jacques visited her a few months later in Florida for his 50th birthday and discreetly asked her father's permission to take his 46-year-old daughter's hand in marriage. Her father said, "PLEASE DO"! On December 25th in front of her whole family, with her father's blessing Jacques surprised Jennifer and asked her to FINALLY become his wife. She did not hesitate to say "YES"! They both have been through triumphs, tragedies, wins, losses, ups and downs but one thing is perfectly clear...they belong together. Please join them in their joy of becoming husband and wife.
