We met at the Grants Pass Hot Air Balloon and Kite Festival in 2019. Jake was the right hand to the Balloon Meister, and Jenn was the right hand to the Site Organizer, Jag. She felt we should meet, telling us it would be a good match, so obviously we avoided each other at all costs. When we did eventually cross paths, we recognized each other immediately as 'this must be the person Jag thinks I should meet', and neither of us was impressed. Jenn, had already worked 80 hours that week setting up the event and was exhausted, dusty, overheated, and not in the mood to meet some guy. Then, she smiled and laughed with her friend, Mariah who was working with Jake and he said to himself, " Yep, I'm going to have to talk to that girl..."
