We toured The Breakers & Marble House and loved it! Highly recommend packing some headphones to listen to the audio tour through the Newport Preservation Society App. You can add the trolley tour or buy tickets through the Preservation Society App to just tour the homes.
3.5 miles of fresh air & incredible views. A few rocky sections, so wear comfortable shoes!
Rentals for all sorts of activities: bikes, e-bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, beach essentials and more!
Take in Newport from the water with an afternoon or sunset cruise.
Public beach, great for kids of all ages :)
Portsmouth is about a 20 minute drive from Newport. If you have time, enjoy this 2.5 hour vintage train ride that gives you sunset views of the Narragansett Bay and Mount Hope Bridge along with a gourmet dinner.
Tour Fort Adams or use the playing fields for kids to run around. This area also has great views of sailboats and a kayak/canoe launch if you choose to rent (suggested rental spot: https://islandadventures401.com/newport-rentals-island-adventures/kayak-rentals-newport).
Known to have a long line! Might save for an afternoon pick-me-up when the line has died down.
Locally roasted coffee.
Great for breakfast & brunch.
Classic pub with great food. Jake & I collect matchbooks from restaurants we go to and this was the only spot we could find in Newport that had some - let us know if you find any elsewhere!
Perfect spot for lunch (Saturdays and Sundays only).
Stop by the Studio Bar for an aperitif. We loved this spot so much we booked a room for our last night of the wedding weekend. They also have a full restaurant, Flora.
Enjoy a meal at America's oldest tavern.
Incredible food and location!
